The prompt I used was Use a Postcard Given to You by Mrs.Barnett. I chose to interpret this prompt by cutting out the people in the postcard. The I glued it onto the page and drew some lines under it to show that he was flying. It looks like the guy is saving the girl from danger, which is like a classic superhero move.
The prompt that I used was Cut Out a Door or Window. I chose to interpret this prompt by cutting out a window in the shape of Batman's logo. I then painted the page behind it in yellow, after that I painted the page with the window in black. Finally, I then glued them together so the cut out could be more visible.
The prompt that I used was Glue Pages Together and Make a Cutout. I chose to interpret this prompt by obviously gluing pages together, but I also cutout 2 eye holes that looked like Spiderman's eyes. I then used some glittery glue to lay down the foundation that way when I painted over it in red, I could see the dried glue lines to then paint over it in black. In the end I was very pleased with how it came out. The red and black really went together.
The prompt I chose was Repurpose an Old Artwork. I chose to interpret the prompt by using my old chalk pastel drawing of a mango. I applied my superhero theme by cutting out a strip of blue fabric and cutting out some eye holes in it and gluing it over the mango. He was supposed to look like Leonardo from the TMNT, but instead of being a teenage mutant ninja turtle its a teenage mutant ninja mango. Lol. I liked how it came out, it looked really cool and original.
The prompt that I used was Write One Word Over And Over. I chose to interpret the prompt by using an American hero, Chris Kyle, who was a SEAL team sniper and passed away 2 years ago and painting his name over and over. I think it came out really cool I like how the bullets and the bullet holes gave it a real rugged/war-like look. Even though cutting out the holes took a while it was still worth it.
